 WARRICK COUNTY PROSECUTOR

The mission of the Warrick County Prosecutor’s Office is to ensure that the above is the standard for Warrick County and not just an empty slogan. Our office ardently works to achieve this goal by maintaining our pledge, best stated by Socrates, “Nothing is to be preferred before Justice.” We look at each case that comes before us in an impartial, fair – but firm manner, and then work toward a resolution that is best for all involved.

We are a dedicated partner of all Warrick County Law Enforcement agencies, and work closely with them to continue to keep our communities protected.

In addition to matters of a criminal nature, we also have a dedicated staff of Child Support professionals who assist in multiple areas of the law relating to this important issue.

  • Infraction Deferral

The Infraction Deferral Program is an alternative to the normal process of court trial for an infraction such as speeding. It provides an opportunity to have an infraction charge dismissed if you keep a clean record for 6 months, thus avoiding possible consequences of a conviction including a conviction on your driving record, points on your license, increased insurance premiums, etc. This program is voluntary and implemented at the discretion of the Prosecutor’s Office.
